TIR & Carnet

Specific regimes as the TIR carnet and ATA carnet also are part of the field of expertise of ITL Attorneys. The TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) procedure is an internationally recognized customs transit system that facilitates the movement of goods across multiple countries. Under the TIR procedure, a TIR carnet is used, which is a customs document that serves as a guarantee for the payment of customs duties and taxes. This carnet allows goods to transit through countries without the need for physical inspection at each border crossing. The ATA Carnet is an international customs document that simplifies the temporary importation and exportation of goods for exhibitions, trade shows, and other similar events. It stands for "Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission" and as a passport for goods, allowing them to enter multiple countries without the need for customs duties or taxes, as long as the goods are re-exported within a specified timeframe.
